Coming Up on Bison Hill (Jan. 23-29)

SHAWNEE – There's plenty of home action for fans to catch this week with both basketball and swim teams competing on Bison Hill over the coming week. Here's what's coming up on Bison Hill.

Wednesday: Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving hosts a double dual against Tabor (Kan.) and St. Gregory's at the Recreationg and Wellness Center Pool. Neither the Bison nor Lady Bison have ever lost a dual to their MacArthur Street rivals, while it is the first time either squad has met Tabor in dual action.

Thursday: Women's Basketball, hot off their first conference home win in 2017, welcomes Henderson State to the Noble Complex for a 5:30 p.m. contest. The Lady Bison will be looking to avenge an 89-73 loss suffered earlier this year in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Men's Basketball looks to find their footing in conference play as they also face the Reddies at 7:30 p.m. Kevin Franceschi poured in 23 points in a narrow 80-71 loss to HSU on the road early in the season.

Saturday: Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field head to Kansas this weekend to take part in the Pittsburg State Invitational at the Robert W. Plaster Center. At the same meet last year, the Lady Bison turned in four top National Christian College Athletic Association times, and the Bison added an additional three NCCAA qualifiers. Men's Swimming makes the short drive to Edmond, Oklahoma, for the Ice Breaker hosted by the American Energy Swim Club at the Edmond Public Schools Aquatic Center. Oklahoma Baptist claimed titles in five events at the same meet in 2016. Women's Basketball hosts Ouachita Baptist in Great American Conference action at 1 p.m. inside the Noble. The Lady Bison dropped a 56-42 decision to Ouachita in the first meeting of the series this season. Men's Basketball squares off with the Tigers following the women's game at 3 p.m. Vladimir Nemcok and Franceschi combined for 33 points as the Bison fell to Ouachita, 75-62, in the team's conference opener this season.
