Coming Up on Bison Hill (Sept. 26-Oct. 2)

SHAWNEE – After last week, every fall team is in their conference season, with a couple of teams sitting at or near the top of the standings. With Great American Conference play hitting full steam, here's what's coming up this week on Bison Hill.

Monday: Men's and Women's Golf host the Oklahoma Baptist Fall Invitational at the Shawnee Country Club and John Conrad Golf Course, respectively. The Lady Bison claimed second place last year as Taylor Hildebrand claimed individual medalist honors, while the Bison last hosted a fall tournament in 2014, claiming first place as a team and Zachary Oliver taking first place overall.

Tuesday: Men's and Women's Golf resume the OBU Fall Invitational with a final round of play. Women's Soccer looks for their first league win when they welcome rival Southern Nazarene to the OBU Soccer Complex at 6 p.m. The Lady Bison battled hard, but lost 1-0 last season to the Crimson Storm in Shawnee. Volleyball puts their undefeated GAC record on the line in Ada, Oklahoma, for a match against East Central at 7 p.m. Shekinah Sharpe led the team with eight kills as OBU claimed a 3-1 victory over the Tigers in Ada last year.

Thursday: Women's Soccer heads to Ada for a 4 p.m. match against East Central. Oklahoma Baptist split the season series 1-1 last year, but fell to the Tigers on the road.

Friday: Men's and Women's Tennis compete at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Central Region Tournament in Oklahoma City. Daniel Aguilera went furthest for OBU in men's singles, reaching the quarterfinals, while Alex Bowers and Kim Moosebacher will look to carry their form from the GAC Fall Tournament into the regional event. Men's and Women's Swimming are in Denton, Texas, for the North Texas Relays. The Bison won two relays against teams from North Texas, Southern Methodist, Arkansas-Little Rock and Houston last season, while the Lady Bison notched a third-place finish in the breaststroke relay.

Saturday: Men's and Women's Tennis continue play at the ITA Central Regional. Men's and Women's Swimming resume races at the UNT Relays. Football heads to Monticello, Arkansas, to take on the Weevils of Arkansas-Monticello at 3 p.m. Isaiah Mallory punched in a pair of touchdowns as the Bison ran all over UAM in a 58-26 win. Men's Soccer looks to close out the first leg of GAC play undefeated as they host rival Southern Nazarene at the OBU Soccer Complex at 7 p.m. Vicente Castillo had a brace and an assist as OBU ran rampant on the Crimson Storm in Shawnee last year, emerging 5-1 winners.
