Taylor Honored by NCCAA

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Oklahoma Baptist cornerback Charles Taylor III was named National Christian College Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Week Tuesday.
 
Taylor earned Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors from the Great American Conference Monday.
 
In the fourth quarter of the Bison's 19-15 win against Arkansas Tech, Taylor, a senior from Adelano, California, made a pair of touchdown saving plays. First, he poked the ball out of the hands of a Tech receiver as he was headed to the end zone that resulted in a touchback. With 2:16 remaining, he intercepted a pass in the end zone to thwart another scoring chance.
 
He had five tackles, including a tackle for loss.
