SHAWNEE, Okla. – Oklahoma Baptist football fans can get their first look at the 2016 squad as the team hosts Bison Football Fan Day, Saturday, Aug. 27, from 6-8 p.m. inside Crain Family Stadium and the Hurt Complex.
Admission is free, and this year's event will be the biggest yet as fans get the opportunity to interact with OBU players and coaches and pick up the recently released 2016 football poster and schedule cards.
Players and coaches will be signing autographs throughout the event, and the OBU Athletics Department will also have a number of other promotional giveaways for fans in attendance, with Shaz and members of the OBU spirit squads on hand to take pictures.
New to the event this year is a Kids Zone with inflatable games, as well as complimentary hot dogs and drinks while supplies last. A great lineup of silent auction items will also be available, with proceeds benefitting the OBU football program.
Fans will also have the opportunity to pick up coupons for free food courtesy of Chick-fil-A Shawnee while supplies last.
Fans are encouraged to park south of the stadium and enter through the south and southeast gates of the Hurt Complex.
Beginning their second year of competition in the Great American Conference and NCAA Division II, the Bison open the season Sept. 3 on the road against Harding before back-to-back home games against Arkansas Tech and Southeastern Oklahoma State.
OBU hosts six home contests at Crain Family Stadium and the Hurt Complex in 2016, concluding with the Homecoming Game on Nov. 12 against Southern Nazarene.
Season tickets are still available by contacting OBU Athletics at 405.585.5411. Information on ticket options and pricing can be found at
