Round One Results

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. – After an opening round 309, Oklahoma Baptist finished day one three strokes behind the leader at the NCCAA Men's Golf National Championship.
 
The Bison are currently in third place, and trail Dallas Baptist with a 306 and Cedarville at 307. All rounds were played at the par-72 Hombre Golf Club, set-up at 6453 yards Monday.
 
Kyle Perdew paced OBU with a three-over 75, and is tied for sixth place individually. Perdew had two birdies on his round, and played the back nine at one-over par.

Freshman Lucas Coapman is tied for 15th place after a 77 in round one. Coapman started out red hot, and was two-under through five holes. He finished with a team-high four birdies on his round. Hudson Hoover is T20 after a 78 finish on Monday. Hoover shot even par on his last nine holes, aided by two back-to-back birdies.
 
Luke Garner fired a 38 on his second nine to finish at 79 for the round and tied for 26th place. Mason Nutt used 82 strokes to get around the course, and is T41.
 
Play will continue Tuesday and Wednesday at the Hombre.
