SHAWNEE – As Fall Free Days roll around and the pace slows down for students at Oklahoma Baptist, the Bison and Lady Bison will keep working hard. Here's what's coming up this week on Bison Hill.
Â
TUESDAY
Men's Soccer takes a break from Great American Conference play to take on Central Christian College (NAIA Independent, 7-6-1) at
5 p.m. in Shawnee. The Bison look to rebound after a loss at Harding on Friday.
Â
Women's Soccer continues conference play as they take on Southern Nazarene in Bethany, Oklahoma, at
6 p.m. The Lady Bison beat the Crimson Storm 3-0 during their home bout in September.
Â
Volleyball will test non-conference foe Arkansas-Fort Smith at
6 p.m. The Lions will prove a tough challenge as they are 14-5 on the season and unbeaten in Heartland Conference play.
Â
THURSDAY:
Football will use their altered game time to their advantage as they take on Southwestern Oklahoma State at
6 p.m. in Weatherford, Oklahoma. The Bulldogs are 3-4 in GAC play, and the Bison are 2-5.
Â
Men's Soccer will host another non-conference foe in Fort Hays State at
7 p.m. at the OBU Soccer Complex. Vicente Castillo leads the Bison in shots taken and goals scored this season.
Â
FRIDAY:
Volleyball travels to Russellville, Arkansas, to take on GAC competitor Arkansas Tech at
6 p.m. The Lady Bison have not met the Golden Suns yet this season, but both are tied for first in the conference standings with seven wins each.
Â
SATURDAY:
Women's Soccer stays home for the break to take on East Central at
1 p.m. at the OBU Soccer Complex. OBU defeated ECU, 3-2, in Ada, Oklahoma, earlier this season.
Â
Volleyball continues their Arkansas road trip as they head to Searcy to square off with Harding at
2 p.m. The Lady Bison defeated the Bisons, 3-2, during the 2015 season.
Â
Men's and
Women's Cross Country will take on familiar faces in the Great American Conference Championships in Durant, Oklahoma. Due to OBU's provisional status, both teams will be solely competing for individual honors.
