Sechrist Picks Up Fourth GAC Honor

RUSSELVILLE, Ark. – Oklahoma Baptist sophomore Emily Sechrist earned her fourth Great American Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week honor Wednesday.
 
Sechrist won the overall title and led her team to a repeat championship in their home event, the Oklahoma Baptist University Invitational. Sechrist, a sophomore from Hillsboro, Kansas, beat out 137 other runners in a time of 18:18.81 with an average mile of 5:54 in the 5k race.
 
Sechrist has won the award after all four of OBU's races this season.
