            Today's blog summarizes the final five games of the 2015 season.
 
 
Game 7: Oct 17, 2015
OBU 41, Northwestern OK 38 at Alva
 
            OBU trailed Northwestern OK 24-0 when freshman cornerback Devontrae Young picked off a Ranger pass and returned it 37 yards for a touchdown with 55 seconds remaining in the first half to make it 24-7 at intermission. In the second half, senior running back Jacob Ellis, an Alva native, scored on two long runs and compiled 211 yards rushing, as the Bison out-scored the Rangers, 34-14.
 
            OBU had 13 first downs, 265 rushing yards, 125 passing yards, 390 total yards, for 5.57 yards per play. Ellis scored on runs of 81 and 44 yards, and quarterback Dez Stegall scored twice on 1-yard runs. In addition to Young's pick-six, linebacker Brynden Pitzer scored on an interception return of 26 yards.
 
            Northwestern had 29 first downs, 10 rushing yards, 500 passing yards, 510 total yards, for 5.73 yards per play. The Rangers scored one rushing TD and four passing TDs. They were 1 of 2 on field goal attempts and 5 of 5 on PAT kicks.
 
            OBU had 6 turnovers and Northwestern had 5.

Game 8: Oct. 24, 2015
Southwestern OK 42, OBU 14 at OBU
 
            OBU gave up big plays to Southwestern—particularly in the kicking game—and the result was that the Bulldogs dominated the game, outscoring OBU 21-7 in each half. The Bulldogs returned the opening kickoff 87 yards to set up their first score; their third TD came on a 17-yard return of a blocked OBU punt; their fourth TD was a 41-yard interception return; and their sixth TD was a 69-yard punt return.
 
            OBU had 18 first downs, 146 rushing yards, 163 passing yards, 309 total yards, for 4.54 yards per play. OBU's touchdowns came on a 1-yard run by running back Isaiah Mallory and a 25-yard run by quarterback Dez Stegall.
 
            Southwestern had 16 first downs, 187 rushing yards, 108 passing yards, 295 total yards, for 4.76 yards per play. The Bulldogs had three rushing touchdowns to go with TDs from the blocked punt, interception, and punt return. They were 6 of 6 on PAT kicks and 0 for 1 on field goal attempts.
           
            Each team had one turnover.

Game 9: Oct. 31, 2015
Ouachita Baptist AR 31, OBU 20 at Arkadelphia AR
 
            Down 21-0 in the first half, the Bison fought back to a 21-13 score at halftime. Each team scored a TD in the third quarter and Ouachita added a field goal in the fourth, for the final of 31-20. The Tigers piled up 497 yards of offense.
 
            OBU had 22 first downs, 184 rushing yards, 117 passing yards, 301 total yards, for 4.43 yards per play. H-back Frankie Edwards scored on a 42-yard run; wide receiver Alex Lewis on a 9-yard pass from quarterback Blake Woodard; and running back Isaiah Mallory on a 1-yard run. OBU was 2 of 3 on PAT kicks.
 
            Ouachita had 24 first downs, 319 rushing yards, 178 passing yards, for 7.65 yards per play. The Tigers scored two rushing and two passing touchdowns. They were 1 of 1 on field goal attempts and 4 of 4 on PAT kicks.
 
            Neither team had a turnover.

Game 10: November 7, 2015
Henderson State AR 22, OBU 14 at OBU
 
            OBU led in most statistical categories in challenging conference champion Henderson State, but the Bison came up short on the scoreboard. The Bison led 7-0 at halftime before the Reddies responded with 15 points in the third quarter. The back-breaker for OBU occurred with 13:00 left in the fourth quarter as the Bison were attempting to tie the game. The Reddies picked off a Dez Stegall pass at the goal line and returned it 100 yards for a 22-7 lead. OBU added a TD in the fourth quarter but could get no closer.
           
            OBU had 24 first downs, 218 rushing yards, 190 passing yards, 408 total yards, for 4.98 yards per play. OBU's touchdowns came on a fumble recovery in the end zone by wide receiver Jacob Cheatham and a 16-yard run by quarterback Dez Stegall.
 
            Henderson had 15 first downs, 158 rushing yards, 183 passing yards, 341 total yards, for 5.59 yards per play. They scored on two passing touchdowns and the interception TD. The Reddies had a two-point conversion and were 2 of 2 on PAT kicks.
 
            Henderson had one turnover; OBU had four.

Game 11: November 14, 2015
Southern Nazarene 33, OBU 32 (OT) at Bethany
 
            In a wild final game of the season, the Bison, in overtime, went for the win but failed to convert a two-point conversion, losing 33-32 to Southern Nazarene. After trailing 16-0 at halftime, the Bison rallied for 20 points in the third quarter to take a 20-16 lead. The Crimson Storm scored early in the fourth quarter to regain the lead, 23-20. With only 30 seconds left in regulation, quarterback Dez Stegall hit wide receiver Josh Pettijohn for a 26-yard TD to give OBU a 26-23 lead. SNU was able to move the ball in the final seconds and kick a 35-yard field goal into the wind as the clock expired. Tied 26-26, the game went to overtime.
 
            SNU had the first OT possession and scored and kicked the extra point. On OBU's possession, Stegall scored on a two-yard run. The Bison went for two, but Stegall's pass was well defended and incomplete.
 
            OBU had 25 first downs, 224 rushing yards, 235 passing yards, 459 total yards, for 5.28 yards per play. In addition to Pettijohn's and Stegall's TDs, Jacob Ellis scored on runs of 3 and 20 yards, and Frankie Edwards on a 4-yard run. OBU was 2 of 3 on PAT kicks and 0 for 2 on two-point conversions.
 
            SNU had 23 first downs, 198 rushing yards, 234 passing yards, 432 total yards, for 5.84 yards per play. The Crimson Storm had two rushing TDs and two passing TDs. They were 1 of 1 on field goal attempts and 4 of 4 on PAT kicks. They also scored on a safety.
 
            There were no turnovers.
