To qualify, a student-athlete must have been of sophomore standing, possess at least a 3.50 grade point average and had a top-50 regional standing in a single event (indoor or outdoor) or top-50 effort at a NCAA Cross Country Regional Championship. The CSC also capped its nomination totals to no more than six student-athletes per team.
