EMPORIA, Kan. – Oklahoma Baptist senior standout
Asia Foster took ninth in the 400-meter dash event on Thursday night during the opening day of the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championship.
Hosted by Emporia State University at Francis G. Welch Stadium, Foster crossed the finish line in 53.70 which helped her earn Second Team All-American recognition.
OBU's only other event on Thursday came in the 400-meter hurdles with
Favour Okoye competing in that race.
On Friday, the Bison will have
Trista Etheridge compete in the 800-meter dash while the 4x400 relay team of Foster, Etheridge, Okoye and
Bianca Gleim will try and qualify for Saturday's final.
