RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – For the second time in three weeks, Oklahoma Baptist's
Korban Murphy was named Great American Conference Track Athlete of the Week.
This latest honor comes after Murphy delivered a top-tier effort in the 800-meter dash at Arkansas' John McDonnell Invitational.
Murphy finished in fifth in that race – with four D1 runners ahead of him - with a time of 1:49.55 which met NCAA provisional standards.
Heading into the GAC Outdoor Championship this week at Harding, Murphy has the top two times in the conference (1:49.37 & 1:49.55) in the 800.
