Bison Finish 7th At Diffee Ford Lincoln Invitational

EDMOND, Okla. – Oklahoma Baptist wrapped up the Diffee Ford Lincoln Invitational with a two‑round total of +66, finishing seventh in a competitive NCAA Division II field at Kickingbird Golf Club. Southwestern Oklahoma State claimed the team title at +34, while Central Oklahoma and Harding followed at +39 and +47, respectively.

Leading the way for the Bison was Morgan Simmons, who put together rounds of 73 and 74 to finish at +7 for the tournament. Simmons delivered steady play across both days, highlighted by consistent scoring on the outward nine in each round.

Ines Diaz followed at +15, recording scores of 77 and 78. Diaz started strong on round one with three straight birdies on the front nine and finished strong on the back nine at the end of round two.

Sam Lehr turned in rounds of 80 and 80 to close at +20, providing two counting rounds through steady play and avoiding big numbers as the course conditions tightened late on Day Two.

Rounding out the top four for OBU was Priscilla Gant, who finished at +25 after posting 82 and 83. Gant's effort included a clean front nine in her opening round and consistent approach play throughout the event.

Oklahoma Baptist returns to action on Sunday at the Emerald Coast Collegiate Classic in Miramar Beach, FL at the Baytowne Golf Club.
