TULSA – Oklahoma Baptist finished in fourth place after the three-day Great American Conference Women's Golf Championship at Page Belcher Golf Course.
That placement ties the 2023 team's result for best-ever. OBU has been competing at the GAC Championship since 2018.
Also of note, the Bison placed three players within the top-20 of the standings, a program-first.

Sam Lehr (T20th) followed. For Simmons, she fired a 74 in round one with four birdies before coming back with a 75 on day three. The Memphis, Tenn., native closed strong, birdying three of the last nine holes.

As for Lehr, a senior who had been dealing with injuries this year, she fired a three-day total of 234 strokes. That included plus-five (76) and plus-six (77) performances in the first and second rounds, respectively.
For freshman
Priscilla Gant, who finished tied for 30th place, she registered a 239-stroke total. Her best round was the second. On Tuesday, she posted a three-over 74 which tied Simmons for the best single-round total among the team over the tournament.
