INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Oklahoma Baptist saw several of its men's and women's indoor track and field team members selected to participate in the NCAA D2 National Championships on March 13-14 in Virginia Beach.
On the men's side, the 4x400 relay team of
Dwayne Fleming,
Caden Peevey,
Kobe Brown and
Ayo Toritsju qualified while Fleming also secured a berth to compete in the 200-meter dash.
For the women, the 4x400 relay team of
Asia Foster,
Favour Okoye,
Bella Driver and
Bianca Gleim punched their ticket in that event while
Jamora Horace qualified for the high jump. Plus, Foster qualified for the second straight season in the 400 meters.
Furthermore,
Altyn Bartley will compete in the weight throw and
Tenera Grey will participate in the triple jump.
Among the top DII marks for OBU, Horace currently has the best high jump mark in the nation at 1.81 meters while the 4x400 relay team's time of 3:44.12 checks in at No. 15.
For the men, the 4x400 team has the 13th-best time in the country (3:10.36) and Fleming checks in at No. 15 in the 200 (21.13).
