NORMAN – Oklahoma Baptist competed in a few events on Friday during Oklahoma's Owen Hewitt Invite.
Most noteworthy was
Wyatt Willoughby's performance in the shot put and weight throw events. During the shot put, he heaved 13.29m (43-7.25) which was good for third. In the latter event, he took fifth (13.14m; 43-1.50). That performance was a personal-best. Also of note, Cutter Rollins took fourth in the shot put (13.05m; 42-9.75).
OBU's next best marks came from
Ethan Vandevier,
Auston Bundy and Jaxen Wilson. Competing in the high jump, Vandevier and Bundy took sixth and eighth, respectively, with marks of 1.84m (6-0.5).
As for Wilson, he earned tenth in the long jump with a performance of 6.62m (21-8.75). Furthermore, Vandevier PR'd in the long jump (6.50m; 21-4.0).
In a week, the team will return to competition at Pitt State's Rumble in the Jungle Invitational in Kansas.
