Sammie Greene and
Morgan Max were named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association's (NFCA) All-Central Region First Team on Thursday.
This is Greene's first all-region honor of her career and third for Max.
During the 2025 campaign, these two helped the Bison to a 36-17 record and runner-up finish in the Great American Conference.
Greene's final season on Bison Hill was incredible. The Clovis, Calif., native was an All-GAC First Team member and the conference's Player of the Year. She posted career-highs in batting average (.384), hits (63), runs (44), homers (11), slugging (.646), on-base percentage (.444) and steals (36).

Max, who's from Moore, Okla., was awesome not only in the batter's box but in the circle. An All-GAC First Team member, she led the conference in on-base percentage and was second in slugging (.739). Max finished second in the GAC with 53 RBI, the third-best total in OBU single-season history and was slotted third with 11 bombs.
Also of significance, she earned 37 walks, the most in OBU history passing a 2007 total of 36. As for her pitching efforts, Max earned eight saves, the most by a Bison pitcher in the D2 era and fourth-best total in the country.
