SHAWNEE – The Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) recognized Oklahoma Baptist seniors
Ally Ryan and
Greenlee Wells on Monday.
That pair of Bison infielders were named to the All-Central Region Second Team.
For Ryan, it's the second time she's made the D2CCA list while Wells made it for the first time. Plus, for the OBU program, it's the fourth straight year (since 2023) that multiple players made this All-Region award team.
Playing every game at third, Ryan turned in a season with 14 homers, 44 RBI, a slugging percentage of .570 and 51 hits. The Frisco, Texas native posted 15 multi-hit games including a pair of three-knock outings against Southwestern (2/27) and Ouachita (3/21). Ryan finished fifth in the GAC in RBI and her home-run total was the 38th-best mark in D2.
Plus, Ryan concluded her OBU career ranked second all-time with 41 homers, fifth with 135 RBI and seventh with 77 walks drawn.
As for Wells, she posted four school records: 19 homers, 68 walks, 62 RBI and 56 runs scored. She batted .412 with a .954 slugging percentage, both of which are top-two single-season performance marks in OBU's D2 history. The Vian, Okla., native also won GAC Player of the Year honors and was the first Bison player to hit three homers in a Division II game (Northeastern State; 2/13).
Wells' OBU career marks include ranking third with 34 homers, second in walks (94) and tied for 12th with 114 RBI.
