Karsyn Hunter claims the first GAC award of the season after being named GAC Defensive Player of the Week Monday afternoon.
Junior,
Karsyn Hunter, was the first recipient of the GAC Defensive Player of the Week award in the 2024 season.
The libero for the Bison kicked off the season with a stellar performance clearly worthy of her new accolade. OBU Volleyball secured their first official pair of wins in the first day of the SpringHill Suites Invitational tournament. Hunter played a large role in the success the Bison saw over the weekend. Over the course of four matches, Hunter compiled 73 digs to average 5.62 digs per set to lead the GAC. In two of the four matches played by the green and gold so far, Hunter has 20+ digs.
Hunter is entering her third season with OBU Volleyball, posting new career-highs in the opening week of action.
