Volleyball Reveals 2026 Schedule

SHAWNEE – Fresh off its third NCAA Tournament appearance and fourth Great American Conference Tournament title, Oklahoma Baptist volleyball released its 2026 schedule on Wednesday.

This year's slate features 27 total contests, including 12 matches at home, nine on the road, and six at neutral sites. Four of this year's opponents were NCAA Tournament participants a year ago, while three won their conference's tournament and/or regular-season title.

"We are so excited for our 2026 schedule," said head coach Anna Howle. "We have a tough non-conference slate that will prepare us well for GAC play. Our team is excited and hungry to play some of the best teams in the country."

The Bison kick off the season at the BritKare Lady Buff Classic, hosted by West Texas A&M, where they will face Tuskegee and Adams State on Aug. 28 before squaring off with Wisconsin-Parkside and West Texas A&M on Aug. 29.

OBU will travel to Tampa from Sept. 3-5 where it will face some of the top teams in the nation at the Tampa Volleyball Classic. The Bison take on Florida Southern on Sept. 3 before facing Francis Marion and the University of Missouri-St. Louis on Sept. 4. Oklahoma Baptist finishes off the weekend by facing the University of Tampa on Sept. 5.

The Bison will face Southeastern Oklahoma State in the home and GAC opener on Sept. 8 at the Noble Complex before three-straight non-conference home matches against Fort Hays State (Sept. 10), Emporia State (Sept. 10), and Pittsburg State (Sept. 11) as part of the GAC-MIAA Crossover.

OBU's first conference road contest comes at Southwestern Oklahoma State (Sept. 15) in a rematch of last year's GAC championship match. The Bison have back-to-back home contests against Southern Nazarene (Sept. 17) and Northwestern Oklahoma State (Sept. 22) before traveling to East Central (Sept. 24).

October features five home contests against Harding (Oct. 1), Arkansas Tech (Oct. 2), Henderson State (Oct. 15), Ouachita Baptist (Oct. 16) and Southwestern Oklahoma State (Oct. 29). The Bison are on the road four times in October at Southern Arkansas (Oct. 8), the University of Arkansas at Monticello (Oct. 9), Southeastern Oklahoma State (Oct. 22), and Southern Nazarene (Oct. 27).

In November, Oklahoma Baptist will travel to Northwestern Oklahoma State (Nov. 3) before returning home against East Central (Nov. 5) in the regular-season finale. The 2026 GAC Tournament takes place Nov. 12-14 at a site to be determined, and the NCAA Division II Tournament will open with regional action on Nov. 26.
