Let’s Dance: Bison to Venture to Nebraska-Kearney

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA Division II Selection Committee unveiled the field of 64 teams that earned a spot to compete in this fall's NCAA Championship beginning Dec. 4.

The Oklahoma Baptist Bison, members of the Central Region, earned an 8-seed and will travel to play top-seed Nebraska-Kearney.

Under head coach Anna Howle, the program has now made its third NCAA Tournament. Previously, the team qualified in 2023 and 2019. This season's appearance comes after OBU won its second Great American Conference Tournament in the last three seasons.

To date, the green and gold are 22-9. As for the Lopers, they are 29-3 and winners of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association. This is their 26th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, the second-best streak in the country.

In the 2019 season, UNK defeated OBU in the NCAA Tournament first round on its way to an "Elite Eight" appearance.
