SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist (2-6, 1-1 GAC) will look to secure its second Great American Conference win in as many matches when the Bison visit East Central on Sept. 27 for a 4 p.m. match.

The series history dating back to the 2014 season heavily favors the green and gold. Since then, OBU leads 13-2-3 and have gone unbeaten in the last 15 matches. A season ago, the Bison tied ECU in Ada (0-0) and won in Shawnee (3-2). The Tigers' last win over the Bison came on Nov. 2, 2015 by a 4-2 count.

Bison Notes
- Hali White's first career goal lifted OBU to a 1-0 win on Sept. 23 at Southwestern Oklahoma State. She ranks in the top-10 in the GAC with six shots on-goal.
- Kaylee Swaner assisted on that goal and in the process moved into a tie for fifth place in OBU history with 35 career points. She, too, ranks in the top-10 in the GAC in assists.
- Over the last two matches, the Bison offense has been very good. They have out-shot their opponents 34-15 including a 20-7 advantage in shots on-goal.
- In the victory at SWOSU, OBU's defense notched its first shutout of the season and held the Bulldogs to a lone shot on-target.
- Mia Pendleton recorded her 13th career shutout with the result. She is third in the GAC in saves per game (5.0).
- Senior Alanna Bloomingdale's two goals still hold up as tops for the Bison and are a top-10 mark in the league.
East Central Notes
- The Tigers are 0-6-1 in 2023. In five of their six losses, they have given up multiple goals.
- Plus, coach Riley Bailey's team has been held scoreless in six of seven matches.
- Most recently, ECU tied Harding, 0-0, in Ada.
- Tanja Baubock, a senior who wears the No. 27 jersey, is a player to keep an eye on. She ranks third in the GAC in shots (18) and third in shots on-goal (10).
- In goal is Linea Andersen. She has allowed 20 goals in six matches, has a save percentage of .672 and goals against average of 3.77.
- Defensively, ECU has not slowed down opponents, surrendering 126 shots in seven matches.
