Bison to open NCAA Tournament at Concordia-St. Paul

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Monday evening the NCAA Division II Selection Committee unveiled the field of 64 teams that earned a spot to compete in the NCAA's Championship beginning Nov. 30. The Oklahoma Baptist Bison, members of the Central Region, earned an 8-seed and will travel to play top-seed and national power Concordia-St. Paul.

This is OBU's second NCAA Tournament appearance under Head Coach Anna Howle and first since the 2019 season. It comes after the Bison won the Great American Conference Tournament title over the Henderson State Reddies in Hot Springs, Arkansas on Nov. 18.

The green and gold went 22-8 during the season and have won nine in a row heading into NCAA postseason play.

For the Golden Bears (28-2), who are ranked No. 2 in the country, they defeated St. Cloud State in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament title. CSP is under the direction of coach Brady Starkey who has guided CSP the past 20 seasons. They have won 12 Central Region titles in that time.

A season ago, the Golden Bears lost in the national title match to West Texas A&M. Also last year, Concordia-St. Paul swept OBU in St. Paul in the CSP/SCSU Tournament on Aug. 27, 2022.

This matchup will take place at the Gangelhoff Center at 7:30 (CT) on Nov. 30.
