RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Oklahoma Baptist libero
Maci Langford was selected as the Great American Conference's Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.
The honor, her first as a Bison, comes after pacing the OBU defense during the team's fall tournament at the Noble Complex.
In four matches last week, Langford registered 92 kills and averaged 5.75 per set. Her best performances came against Newman and Texas A&M Kingsville. The Arlington, Texas native recorded 34 against the Jets and then 30 versus the Javelinas.
With her help, the Bison moved into first place in the GAC in digs per set (18.0). That mark is also 15th-best in Division II.
