RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Freshman Morgan Becker has been named the Great American Conference Golfer of the Week after earning a six-stroke victory at the OBU Invitational on Tuesday. Oklahoma Baptist claimed their first tournament win since 2018, courtesy of Becker's outstanding play.
She is the first Bison golfer to garner the conference weekly honor since last season.
Becker carded rounds of one-over par 73 and even par 72 to earn the win at the tournament. She led the field in par-4 stroke average, tied for first in par-3 stroke average, and recorded the most birdies, six.
Becker's one-under finish on the back nine in the closing round was her best of the two-day event, sinking two birdies and making par on six holes. Her stretch on the turn lifted the South Lake, Texas native to victory after shooting one-over through the front nine.
