MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla. – Oklahoma Baptist wrapped up play at the Emerald Coast Collegiate Classic with a 15th‑place finish, posting rounds of +39, +29, and +28 for a three‑round total of +96, finishing ahead of Drury (+97) and Illinois‑Springfield (+134).
Morgan Simmons led the Bison once again, turning in rounds of 73, 73, and 72 to close the tournament at +5. Simmons put together one of the most consistent performances in the field, highlighted by a clean outward nine on the final day and disciplined ball‑striking throughout all three rounds. She placed 15th out of 93 individually.
Ines Diaz followed at +30 after rounds of 83, 78, and 82. Diaz surged in Round 2 with steadier play across both nines before closing out the event with several key pars that helped OBU maintain its position in the standings.
Sam Lehr posted scores of 91, 79, and 80 to finish at +36. Lehr rebounded impressively after the opening round, trimming 12 strokes on Day Two and remaining in counting position for the Bison in each of the final two rounds.
Priscilla Gant completed OBU's top four at +33, carding rounds of 84, 83, and 79. Gant's final‑round 79 marked her best effort of the week, fueled by controlled tee‑to‑green play and a string of pars that steadied the Bison's final‑round total.
Oklahoma Baptist now turns its attention to the next stop on the spring schedule in Monkey Island, OK at the Shangri-La Resort April 5-7 for the Central Spring Preview.
