Howle, Bison Announce 2022 Schedule

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist volleyball coach Anna Howle released her 2022 schedule on Monday. The 29-match slate features 14 home contests at the Noble Complex including an early-season home tournament which will welcome six other schools.
 
The Bison will start their campaign with a trip to the St. Cloud and St. Paul, Minnesota area between August 25-27. There they will face some of the best teams in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference including St. Cloud State, Minnesota Duluth, Concordia-St. Paul and Winona State.
 
A weekend later, the green and gold will host its two-day fall tournament. On Sept. 2, the Bison will face Newman and St. Edward's followed by Texas A&M Kingsville and Union (TN) the day after.
 
Following another home match, this one against Central Oklahoma on Sept. 6, Howle's squad will pay a visit to the Sunshine State to take part in the West Florida Tournament on Sept. 9-10. Located in Pensacola, the Bison will play Lewis and UWF on the 9th and Spring Hill (AL) and UNC Pembroke on the 10th.
 
Great American Conference play opens up after that. After road matches against East Central (9/13) and Southeastern Oklahoma State (9/15), OBU will host five straight matches from Sept. 20 to Sept. 30. Those include: Southwestern, Southern Nazarene, Northwestern, Henderson State and Ouachita.
 
The month of October starts off with a two-game road swing to Southern Arkansas and Arkansas-Monticello on the 6th and 7th, respectively. A weekend later, OBU will be back at Noble to face Harding and Arkansas Tech (Oct. 13-14).
 
Following those two home matches, the Bison will have three road affairs versus SWOSU, Northwestern and SNU, as well as home dates against East Central and Southeastern. The last of those, against Southeastern on Nov. 3, will be the regular-season finale before the GAC Tournament which is set start on Nov. 10.
