Final Pair of GAC Matches on Deck For OBU

SHAWNEE – The final week of regular-season matches is upon the Oklahoma Baptist volleyball team. Competition comes Nov. 1 at Southern Nazarene before a Nov. 3 home match against Southeastern Oklahoma State. Both contests are schedule for 7 p.m. starts.

For Thursday's match, should OBU record at least 10 blocks, fans wearing Bison gear will earn free Chick-Fil-A gift cards.

OBU (17-10, 11-3 GAC) sits in second place in the Great American Conference after last week's results, which included a five-set loss to East Central and 3-0 sweep at Northwestern Oklahoma State. A win in either of this week's games will clinch the No. 2 seed for next week's GAC Tournament for the Bison.

In series history, coach Anna Howle's program has fared well against the Crimson Storm and Savage Storm. OBU is 22-4 all-time against SNU and has won the last seven. As for the matchup against SE, the Bison have won 11 straight and own a 15-2 series record. Here's where the Bison currently stack up in the nation and in the GAC:
