SHAWNEE – Beginning this fall, OBU Athletics will be implementing a clear bag policy at Bison football games played at Crain Family Stadium at the Hurt Complex.
Â
Now standard operating procedure at most professional and collegiate venues, including several Great American Conference institutions, the policy will enhance the safety and security of spectators and participants, as well as help security staff expedite fan entry on game days.
Â
Clear bags must fit within the current size guidelines for entry, typically 12" w x 6" d x 12 h". Additionally, one gallon clear plastic bags, and small clutch style purses no larger than 6.5" x 4.5" will be permitted. Consistent with OBU policy, exceptions will be made in the case of medically-necessary and/or childcare-related articles. All carried items and entrants are subject to search.
Â
A complete list of prohibited items at Crain Family Stadium can be found
here or at the link above. In order to provide the best possible game day experience, fans are strongly encouraged to familiarize themselves with this information prior to arriving on campus. Prohibited items must be returned to the owner's car or discarded, and any unlawful items are subject to confiscation, and the person in possession of such items is subject to arrest. Items left at stadium gates will be discarded.
Â
Acceptable clear bags are available at most retailers. OBU-branded clear bags can be purchased at
ShopOBUBison.com and by clicking the link above.
