SHAWNEE – The Oklahoma Baptist tennis teams dropped their matches on Friday afternoon at the OBU Tennis Courts as the men fell to Texas A&M – Texarkana, 6-1, while the women fell to Arkansas Tech in GAC play, 7-0.
On the men's side,
Aaron Brewer picked up the lone point for OBU as he rolled to a 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 1 singles. The Bison got a great showing from
Carson Thoma at No. 6 singles, nearly forcing a third set in a 6-3, 7-6 (5) loss.
In a match that did not count towards the team points,
Adam Spencer earned an impressive 8-2 victory.
On the women's side, OBU struggled for most of the day.
Lin Xin Tan put together a valiant effort at No. 1 singles, but fell 6-3, 6-4.
Both Bison squads will be in action tomorrow afternoon at home as they welcome in Harding. First serve from the OBU Tennis Courts is set for 1 p.m.
