DURANT, Okla. – The Oklahoma Baptist tennis teams dropped their conference matchups to Southeastern Oklahoma State on Thursday afternoon as the women fell 5-2 in GAC play while the men dropped a 7-0 contest in MIAA play.
After dropping the doubles point, the Bison women battled back as they got a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles from
Lin Xin Tan while
Jenna Noel took a thrilling 6-1, 3-6, 6-2 victory at No. 2 singles to even the match at two.
However, the Savage Storm would take the next three points on the final three courts to clinch the match.
On the men's side, the No. 1 doubles team of
Aaron Brewer and
Kaey-Den Tan picked up a nice 7-6 (6) win at No. 1 doubles, but Southeastern won the other two courts to take the point. Tan would take his No. 2 singles match to three sets, but ultimately fell 2-6, 6-3, 1-6.
OBU returns to action on Saturday morning as they welcome in Southern Arkansas in conference play at 10 a.m.
