LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Oklahoma Baptist volleyball team jumped two spots to No. 6 in the country in the latest AVCA Division II Top 25 Poll.
It marks the highest ranking for any OBU team since joining NCAA Division II.
The Bison have steadily moved up the rankings for the last five weeks, going from No. 24 to No. 19 before moving to No. 11. OBU cracked the top 10 last week at No. 8 before inching towards the top 5 at No. 6.
OBU comes off a dominant week that included a pair of sweeps over SWOSU, one of them inside the Noble Complex last Friday, while the other was a three-set win in Weatherford.
The Bison sit at 12-0 overall and 7-0 in the GAC. They will look to keep the momentum going on Friday with a GAC match at Southeastern before taking on East Central at home on Tuesday.
