GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The Oklahoma Baptist men's and women's swimming and diving teams completed a tough day three of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships Friday with both teams in third place.

William Newman of the men's team was the top finisher for the Bison, placing third in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 49.56.

The men's 800 yard freestyle relay team of
Noah Froese,
Alfredo Arrieche,
Alexander Yanchunas, and
Ian Wiley placed third in their respective event with a time of 7:13.42.

On the women's side,
Kaelyn Lance,
Anya Macphail,
Anna Tindall, and
Laura Cifuentes led the women's 800 yard freestyle relay team to a fourth-place finish with a time of 7:59.31.

Brooke Newby was the top individual finisher, placing fifth in the 200 yard fly at 2:14.68.

The final day of competition is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. local time (10 a.m. CT) with the preliminary rounds. Finals are set to follow at 4 p.m. local time (5 p.m. CT).
