EDMOND, Okla. – Oklahoma Baptist women's golf improved 20 strokes from their opening round score of 320 to claim 10th at the Grace Shin Invitational in Edmond on Tuesday afternoon. The squad added a round-two 300 to score an overall 620, moving two spots up from yesterday after tying for 12th at the conclusion of the inaugural round.
Sophomore Valentina Nunez-Butzonitch rebounded from her first-round 79 with a 71 today, good for 18th overall. Nunez-Butzonitch's outing included three birdies.
Josie Patterson followed up her first day with a 73, just two strokes shy of par, placing her in a tie for 36th. Patterson's score moved her 27 spots up from day one. Hayden Meiser and Lindyn Ross carded 79 and 77 in the final round, respectively. Meiser finished tied for 53rd while Ross improved 14 placings, good for a tie for 56th.
Karlee Holcomb rounded out the Bison team scoring with a concluding round 80, shooting nine-over for a tie at 64th.
The final two of the OBU lineup were Izzy Lette (87-81) and Abby Boren (93-93).
This weekend, Oklahoma Baptist will be back in action in the D-II Central Region Review at the Hot Springs Country Club.
