Meiser Paces OBU in Opening Round of Central Region Preview

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Senior Hayden Meiser leads the Oklahoma Baptist women's golf team through the inaugural round of the NCAA DII Central Region Preview after shooting three-over at the Hot Springs Country Club on Sunday.

The Bison finished the first round in 11th after posting a team score of 314 (+26).

Meiser is tied for 17th individuall following an outing where she birdied holes nine and 12. Lindyn Ross tallied a 79 to lock in a tie for 47th, while Josie Patterson wasn't far down in a tie for 56th. Patterson carded eight-over in the first round after making par on seven consecutive holes.

Valentina Nunez-Butzonitch shot one stroke higher than Patterson, good for a tie at 56th. Nunez-Butzonitch managed to make par on 12 of the course's holes. Freshman Karlee Holcomb rounded out the Bison lineup with an 84, tying her for 81st.

Oklahoma Baptist will conclude their time in Hot Springs today in the final round at the Regional Preview with tee times set to begin at approximately 8:30 a.m.
