COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has selected the Oklahoma Baptist University women's swimming and diving team for Scholar All-American honors.
"Our women did a great job with their classes this spring," said Head Coach
Matt Hood. "They were on track to do well while we were on-campus and did a great job adjusting to remote learning. The results really showed this spring and I am very proud of their efforts in the classroom and in the pool."
Oklahoma Baptist was one of 461 schools to receive the award for the Spring semester. Teams were selected on the basis of their Spring grade point averages and represent 17,982 student-athletes.
"No team was unaffected by this Spring's pandemic," said CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart. "But President Heath Thomas and Athletic Director
Robert Davenport should be proud of their team and the work of Coach Hood."
Individual Scholar All-America selections will be announced next week.
