SHAWNEE – After dropping a pair of competitive matches, the Oklahoma Baptist women's tennis team will look to get back on track against Emporia State on Thursday, March 12 at 3 p.m. at the OBU Tennis Complex.
Â
This will mark the second time the two teams have met, with OBU winning the first meeting, 6-3, back in 2017.
Â
Emporia State faces the Bison on the back end of a back-to-back with the front end highlighting a contest against Southern Arkansas on March 11. As of Wednesday morning, the Hornets boast a 3-1 record on the season.
Â
Leading the way for OBU is
Kim Moosbacher. Coming off a dominant straight-set performance against No. 3 Tatjana Stoll of Northeastern St., the ninth-ranked All-American is 8-1 at No. 1 singles, including six matches where she has failed to give up a set.
Â
The doubles tandem of Moosbacher and
Ethne Dowling has also seen recent success. The duo is 5-3 at No. 1 while finding wins in four of their last five matches.
Â
Senior
Tahlia Walsh is 3-1 in her last four outings at No. 3 singles.
