SHAWNEE – The Oklahoma Baptist women's tennis team opens its 2020 spring season with a home match against Texas A&M-Texarkana on Saturday, Feb. 8. First serve is set for 11 a.m. at the OBU tennis complex. This will be the first meeting between the two programs.
Â
Last year, TAMUT went 0-2-1, including a 5-0 loss to Henderson State of the Great American Conference. OBU defeated Henderson State 6-1 in the regular season and 4-0 in the GAC Tournament.
Â
The Bison come into the season led by All-American
Kim Moosbacher. A senior from Cologne, Germany, Moosbacher has not lost a singles match in nine straight contests dating back to April of last year.
Â
OBU enters Saturday's matchup having won five of its last seven regular season matches. Bison senior
Tahlia Walsh is 6-1 in her singles matches in that time span.Â
Â
Along with Moosbacher and Walsh, OBU returns four other players from last year's squad, while four new players will make their debuts Saturday against the Eagles. Â
