SHAWNEE – The Oklahoma Baptist women's tennis team returns to Bison Hill off a 4-3 win over Newman in Springfield, Missouri, evening their record at 3-3. Standing in the Bison's way of getting above .500 is the Lady Lions of Arkansas-Fort Smith.
UAFS sets up what will be a four-match home stint for the Bison. OBU is currently 2-1 at home with the one loss coming to No. 14 Angelo State.
The Lady Lions lead the overall series against the Bison, 3-2, but those two losses have come in the last two meetings as OBU has won the last two matchups by a combined score of 13-3.
UAFS comes into this year's match 3-2 on the season while having just lost to Harding, 7-0.
Leading the way for the Bison is No. 9 All-American
Kim Moosbacher as she is 5-1 in singles on the season. Following her in way of singles is sophomore transfer
Hanna Zubkova at 4-2.
Freshmen
Melody Holcomb and
Jenna Noel are 3-2 as doubles partners. Noel is 3-3 in singles.
The sixth meeting between Oklahoma Baptist and Arkansas-Fort Smith takes place Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 1 p.m.
