RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - Oklahoma Baptist got their first taste of GAC play at the GAC Tournament in Russellville over the weekend. OBU saw 26 total matches won: 14 for the men and 12 for the women, including one title claimed for the women. And you may have heard of her in
Kim Moosbacher.
It was a trifecta for the German as she won her third straight Flight 1 singles draw title in three tournaments. Moosbacher won her final match 6-4, 6-2.
Freshman
Andrea Sanchez, Moosbacher's teammate, saw her best finish in her young OBU career, reaching the Finals in the Flight 5 draw.
For the men, two Bison won consolation titles:
Aaron Brewer in the Flight 2 singles and
Gianlucca Galdi/
Bruno Suiama in the Flight 1 doubles draw as they won each match in the backdraw 6-4.
In Flight 3 singles,
Rhett Rollins and Matias Le-Fort both reached the semifinals along with
Matthew Ford and
Kaey-Den Tan reaching the semifinals in the Flight 4 draw. This was the second straight semifinal bid for Kaey-Den, who reached the semis at the Midwestern State Invitational.
