Former Bison Hurlers Make MiLB Debuts

SHAWNEE Former OBU pitchers Shane Kelso and Tyler Gibson made their minor league debuts earlier this week.
 
Kelso made his first start for the Los Angeles Angels' Class A team the Burlington Bees. He struck out two batters and did not allow a hit in his inning and a third on the mound.
 
While playing rookie ball, he pitched 16.1 innings while striking out 25 batters and registering a 1.65 ERA.
 
Gibson struck out two in a scoreless inning and a third in his first start for the Dayton Dragons, the Class A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds.
 
The 6-4 righty fanned 16 batters, while surrendering just nine hits in 12 innings of work for the Greeneville Reds in rookie league play.
