Lady Bison Fall to UCO in Edmond

Box Score EDMOND, Okla. – The Lady Bison tennis team dropped a non-conference match against the University of Central Oklahoma, 5-2, Thursday afternoon. The match was originally scheduled for Shawnee, but was relocated to Oak Tree Country Club in Edmond due to wind.

UCO claimed the doubles point, with the closest match coming at the No. 3 slot with Tahlia Walsh and Stefy Varon falling to their opponents, 6-4.

In singles, the Bronchos clinched the match with three quick victories at Nos. 3, 5, and 6 before OBU's Kim Moosbacher and Alex Bowers took their respective matches. Bowers won her match in straight sets, while Moosbacher, after losing 7-0 in her second set tiebreaker, gathered herself to take the third set 10-point super tiebreaker.

OBU next heads to Arkansas to meet Southern Arkansas and Centenary College of Louisiana in a doubleheader on Saturday, March 30. Southern Arkansas will be the Lady Bison's first conference match.
