Women Announce First Signees for Soccer

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist women's soccer coach Michael White announced his first wave of signees with the addition of three players who completed necessary paperwork to begin their college careers in 2019.

Maddison Williams, Morgan LaPlante and Madison Morgan are the first Lady Bison to be announced with more coming within the next few days.

Williams is a 5-7 cornerback who should help immediately as a strong central defender. She was a two-time all-district selection and was twice honored with selection to the Texas UIL All-State Academic Team. She played club ball for the D'Feeters ECNL, an elite team in Dallas area. She was twice named to MVP of the DFW metro area.

LaPlante is a 5-9 midfielder from DeSoto, Kan. where she has played against some of the state's top youth teams. She committed to OBU two years ago. Coaches are expecting her to be a strong attack-minded player that will do exciting things for the team.

Morgan is a 5-6 defender from Anchorage, Alaska who is expected to be a quick player who can control the center of the field. Coaches saw her late in the recruiting season but have expressed great pleasure she still signed with the team.
