NORMAN — The Oklahoma Baptist University men's and women's indoor track teams will serve as the meet host for the 2019 GAC Indoor Championships Feb. 22-23 at Mosier Center on the campus of the University of Oklahoma in Norman.

OBU is one of six GAC teams competing in the event. They will be joined by Arkansas Tech, Est Central, Harding, Northwestern Oklahoma and Southern Nazarene. Other non-conference teams competing are West Texas A&M, Rogers State, Oklahoma Christian, Azusa Pacific, Le Tourneau, and Laverne.
The 2019 GAC Indoor Championships starts Friday at 6 p.m. with action in the women's pentathlon. The men's heptathlon competition begins at 6:30 p.m. and continues Saturday with three remaining events.
Field events will begin Saturday at 10 a.m. with the running portion of the competition beginning at 12:30 p.m.
Both OBU teams have been ranked nationally throughout the season. Currently, the OBU women are No. 23 in the latest NCAA Division II poll.
The meet will serve as the final regular season action for the 2019 indoor season. Qualifiers for the 2019 NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships – scheduled for Mar. 8-9 at Pittsburg State– will be announced Tuesday, Feb. 26.
