Tennis Nets First Victory, Beat Lindenwood

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Oklahoma Baptist collected its first win of the 2019 tennis season as both the men and women teams won Saturday at Lindenwood.

The men got rolling early with the doubles point after getting wins at No. 1 and 2 from Kevin Andrusch / Gianlucca Galdi and Andres Graterol / Matias Le-Fort, respectively. Both pairs won the day before at Drury. Andrusch / Galdi are 3-0 as partners.

In singles, Andrusch, Le-Fort, Graterol, and Rhett Rollins all claimed victory, giving the Bison the 5-2 win. Rollins won both of his singles matches over the weekend.

For the women, OBU's dominance continued against Lindenwood as for the third straight year sweeping the Lions. OBU did not drop a single set in the match.

"I'm proud of these wins because we didn't change anything, we didn't panic, and we continued to go about our business with the knowledge that," OBU Coach Jason Proctor said. "At the end of the day, our diligence will yield favorable results."

OBU will play its first home match Saturday, Feb. 23 against Kansas Wesleyan. The OBU women will also play on Friday, Feb. 22 at Northeastern State.
