Brown Named Associate Offensive Coordinator

SHAWNEE - Head Coach Chris Jensen announced the promotion of Brayle Brown to Associate Offensive Coordinator after the Oklahoma Baptist football team put together one of their most successful seasons since returning to the gridiron.

"I wanted to acknowledge the contribution Brayle has made to our team on game days," said Jensen. "He did an outstanding job calling plays and helped our offense achieve a great deal of success this season." 

The Bison were the best in the GAC offensively as they averaged nearly 35.0 points per game and averaged 438.2 yards of total offense. The offense was led by quarterback Preston Haire, who was named GAC Offensive Player of the Year after a huge season. 

Haire, a redshirt junior out of Trophy Club, Texas, had another remarkable season for the Bison as he led the No. 1 offense in the GAC to a school record 3,041 passing yards to go with 26 touchdowns to only eight interceptions. Haire had 255 completions on the year and an impressive 63% completion percentage. Haire threw for over 200 yards in 10 of 11 games this season, had over 250 yards passing in eight games, and threw for a touchdown in all 11 games. 

Haire, along with wide receiver Joshua Cornell, were named to the D2CCA Super Region 3 Team while a total of six offensive players were named to the All-GAC Team.

Brown, who is also the quarterbacks coach, was instrumental to the offense's success, calling plays throughout the year.

Oklahoma Baptist completes their most successful season since joining NCAA Division II at 7-4 under seventh year head coach Chris Jensen, has now won 11 straight games over Oklahoma schools, has completed a second consecutive perfect record against its Oklahoma counterparts (5-0).
