Hayley Daniel has been named the Great American Conference's Offensive Player of the Week. The weekly honor was announced Monday afternoon.
A native of Edmond, Daniel averaged 4.29 points/set to help OBU maintain their unbeaten status in the GAC with a 5-0 conference record amidst an 11-match winning streak. The junior swung .349 for the week while averaging 3.86 kills/set, including a 16-kill performance against SWOSU last Thursday night in Shawnee. Daniel also scored from the defensive side, averaging .71 blocks/set. Displaying a well-rounded approach, Daniel also averaged 2.86 digs/set.
Daniel is the third Bison to take home GAC weekly honors this season, and the second to lay claim to Offensive Player of the Week. It is the first weekly award for Daniel in her career on Bison Hill.
Oklahoma Baptist (15-3, 5-0 GAC) are back in action tomorrow when they take on Arkansas-Fort Smith on the road at 6 p.m.
