SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist volleyball is set to host the
GAC/MIAA Crossover this Friday and Saturday at the Mabee Arena inside the Noble Complex. The Lady Bison will get the tournament started by facing Missouri Southern State at 12 p.m., and then will take on Emporia State at 6 p.m. It is the final tournament of the regular season for OBU.

Oklahoma Baptist (4-6, 1-0 GAC) got back to winning ways on Tuesday in their Great American Conference opener against Northwestern Oklahoma State. They'll now look to make it a streak against the Lions and Hornets.

Malia Leatherland and
Mikayla Watson lead the offense with 3.25 and 3.10 kills per set, accounting for over half of OBU's 11.7 kills per set.
Jenna Gremmel continues to provide great service, upping her assist total to 9.03 assists per set after a 44-assist performance against Northwestern.

Defensively, OBU posted a season-high eight total blocks on Tuesday, led by a career mark of five by
Brecken Roquemore. The sophomore middle boasts a team-leading .73 blocks per set. Oklahoma Baptist is averaging 17.9 digs per set, led by
Delayna Mills 5.14 digs per set. Opponents are hitting .205 against OBU.

Missouri Southern (0-5) has won one set all season, coming in a four-set loss to No. 4 Florida Southern at the Central Missouri Peggy Martin Classic. The Lions are hitting just .108 on the season and averaging 10.2 kills per set, led by Janelle Brehm's 3.44 kills/set. Opponents are scoring 14.2 kills/set while MSSU averages 16.8 digs/set, led by Brehm's 3.50 digs/set.

Emporia State (2-6) went 1-3 last weekend at the Rockhurst Classic, picking up their second win of the year against the host from Rockhurst. The Hornets average 11.5 kills/set, paced by Tatum Graves' 2.58 kills/set. Opposing teams average 13.3 kills/set while hitting .241.
