Lady Bison Go to North Texas Relays Friday

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist is back in the pool this weekend, traveling to the Denton, Texas, for the North Texas Relays.
 
UNT hosts the meet at Pohl Recreation Center and PEB Natatorium. OBU last season was joined at the North Texas Relays by Southern Methodist, Oklahoma Christian, Arkansas-Little Rock and Houston.
 
The OBU women registered a win in the 400 free relay at this meet last season.
 
The Lady Bison opened the season last week, sweeping all 12 events of the Shawnee Invitational.
 
Marizel Van Jaarsveld led OBU with five event victories, followed by Victoria Fonville and Juliana Cifuentes with four each. Cassidy Wright won both diving events. Jamie Edwards, Miriam Avila, Julie Day and Laura Cifuentes captured one win apiece for the women.
