Bison Move Up to Eighth in Region Ranking

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist rose into the top 10 and is eighth in the Central Region baseball rankings released Tuesday.
 
The Central Region Tournament, as it stands now, would be in Magnolia, Arkansas, as Southern Arkansas captured the top spot in the rankings.
 
However, the remainder of the region conferences are just starting their conference tournaments and the field for the regional is not set.
 
The MIAA begins its tournament Thursday and the Northern Sun began Wednesday. A deep conference tournament run by a team ranked behind OBU could knock the Bison out of the tournament field.
 
The regional tournament field and schedule will be announced Sunday.
