SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist enters the 2018 GAC Tennis Championship as the top seed and gets a first round bye at the Memorial Park Tennis Complex in Bentonville, Arkansas.

The 11-4 Lady Bison play at 2 p.m., Friday, taking on the winner between No. 4 Harding and the fifth seed, Henderson State.

OBU scored a 5-1 win over Harding and a 9-0 victory over Henderson State this season.

With a win, OBU would advance to the championship match at 2 p.m., Saturday.

The other side of the bracket has No. 3 Arkansas Tech playing No. 6 Southern Nazarene at 2 p.m., Thursday with the winner matching up against Southeastern Oklahoma State, the second seed, at 2 p.m., Friday.

Earlier this season, OBU defeated Southeastern 7-2 in Durant, Arkansas Tech 8-1 in Shawnee and Southern Nazarene 9-0 in Shawnee.

OBU has a 69-21 record in singles matches this season, led by
Madeleine Boepple at 14-1.
Alex Bowers has 13 wins, followed by
Kateryna Shkot with 12,
Kim Moosbacher and
Tahlia Walsh with 10 each and
Caroline Abbe with eight.

In doubles, OBU has gone 33-12. Shkot and Bowers both have 12 wins, Abbe and Moosbacher have 11, Walsh has nine and Boepple eight.
